Dunkerrin Community Centre is run by a local committee of fifteen people; five of the committee are trustees. The Dunkerrin Community Centre was built in 1971 on Byrnes land. A major fundraising drive was put in place to fund the building at this time. The festivals of the seventies and eighties and ticket sales are associated with the early years in developing the building into a modern and attractive place. Today this centre boasts of high standards, with central heating, large floor area with endless facilities such as dancing, sports activities, card games, quizzes, and is known for its size, comfort, location, stage, meeting rooms, kitchen, parking space etc. An outside tennis court towards the back of the complex is available for users. The Dunkerrin Community Centre is used by a large number of clubs and is available at modest fees.
