It's a place where stories are shared, friendships are forged, and memories are made—a true embodiment of the spirit of community. So whether you're a long-time resident or just passing through, we invite you to join us at Moneygall Community Café and become a part of our ever-growing family. Welcome home.

This community café is named in honour of Rita Flaherty. This premises was the home and business of Rita where “Flaherty’s” shop traded in grocery, hardware and drapery along with a butcher’s counter and traded under the Spar franchise.

Many people still remember Rita with great fondness. While quiet and easygoing by nature, Rita was also known for her sharp wit, and there were few who left the shop without experiencing a taste of her dry humour and feeling all the better for it. She, too, greatly relished the daily banter with customers.

It is fitting that Rita, who was such a part of the Moneygall Community will continue to be remembered through this Community Café named in her honour
